Opportunity at a Glance: Green Beetz is a NYC based non-profit that aims to empower elementary and middle school students to navigate the modern food system, and to make healthy and sustainable food choices. We provide teachers with a ready-to-teach, grades 4th – 7th STEM curriculum.
Our curriculum is currently 15 lessons divided into the following 3 modules:
- Food and the Environment;
- Food and the Body; and
- Food and Society.
Each lesson plan offers hands-on activities, worksheets, engaging videos, google slides and forms, classroom tastings, trivia and much more. Come check out our newest lesson plans: “Food and the Brain” and the “Benefits of Plant-Based Eating”.
