Opportunity at a Glance: Join the Department of Social Studies and Civics to unpack Passport to Social Studies grades 9-12 and explore its connections to the NYSED Regents Exam in Global History and Geography II. Passport to Social Studies was designed by New York City public school educators and experts and incorporates principles of quality social studies instruction, diversity and multiple perspectives, and the importance of inquiry with the objective of preparing students for a global community. It is the only comprehensive K-12 curriculum developed by New York City teachers for NYC classrooms.
