Opportunity at a Glance: The session will focus on making connections between the Passport to Social Studies curriculum and the exhibitions and resources of the Tenement Museum, and highlighting course content related to migration, immigration, urbanization, and housing.  Passport to Social Studies was designed by New York City public school educators and experts and incorporates the following:

  • Principles of quality social studies instruction,
  • Diversity and multiple perspectives; and
  • The importance of inquiry with the objective of preparing students for a global community.

Attendees of this full day, in-person workshop will tour the Tenement Museum exhibition A Union of Hope: 1869.
