Teaching The Holocaust Using Media Part 2

Open to: Grades K – 12 Educators
Opportunity at a Glance: Join the Social Studies and Civics team at the Museum of Jewish Heritage: A Living Memorial to the Holocaust for a professional learning session exploring the ways we use media to teach about the Holocaust.  This session will include a special presentation by Professor Marianne Hirsch. During the session, participants will review resources and strategies for building historical context.  Participants will take part in a museum tour of their new exhibition, Courage to Act: Rescue in Denmark and learn best practices for using museum resources in their classrooms.  The day will also feature survivor testimonial.
Key dates:  Wednesday May 22 from 9:00a.m. – 3:00p.m.
