Opportunity at a Glance: Traditional methods of teaching math push many students from minority populations away, and while some might argue that culturally relevant practices are out of place in math classrooms, the reality is that numbers are not neutral. Throughout this six-part course series, we will explore specific strategies that will allow you to bring rigorous, diverse content to your math classroom — content that encourages inquiry and engagement, and that empowers learners to reach their highest potential.
