Join us at the CUNY-IIE PK-12 Immigration Literature Conference

Opportunity at a Glance: This one-day conference is designed to inspire and empower educators to integrate immigration-focused literature into their classrooms by fostering a deeper understanding of the migration experience.  The event will include a keynote presentation, interactive breakout sessions, and a panel with children and young adult literature authors.   Participants will experience the power of storytelling as a means to learn about oneself and one’s neighbors and to take action to create a stronger and more interconnected community.

Edwidge Danticat will serve as the opening conference keynote speaker.

Four CTLE credits will be available for eligible NYS educators.
