Opportunity at a Glance: Join the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy for the Understanding and Monitoring Noise in Our Environment Professional Learning Opportunity During this professional learning opportunity participants will do the following:
- Explore how noise pollution affects our lives;
- Learn how noise is monitored in New York City;
- Learn how people perceive sound and noise in our environment;
- Learn ways to teach your students about this vital topic; and
- Learn more about education programs and resources offered by both organizations.
Participants will also take a walking tour of Brooklyn Bridge Park, DEP will demonstrate activities from our multi-disciplinary Sound & Noise Education Module.
Key dates: Tuesday March 4 from 4:30p.m. – 6:30p.m.
