Opportunity at a Glance: STEAM in the City (SITC) is a training fellowship program hosted by the Community Engagement and Inclusion office that is designed to support Harlem and Upper Manhattan’s grades K–8 public school teachers in developing experiential learning opportunities for their students in STEAM fields. SITC is a paid or CTLE granting professional development opportunity. It includes the following:
1) Professional development summer institute
2) Academic year workshops
3) Support from undergrad STEM mentors / TAs / educational experience designers.
4) Connections to faculty at Barnard College who work in STEAM fields.
