Register for the “Empowering Immigrant Students in Secondary Schools” Virtual CTLE Course

Opportunity at a Glance: During this virtual module educators will do the following:

  • Explore and identify what advocacy can look like in our schools and classrooms;
  • Learn how to support immigrant-origin students with college and career access; and
  • Understand how to support immigrant-origin youth empowerment in and out of schools

In today’s challenging political climate that threatens immigrant communities, this course will provide opportunities for secondary educators not only to discuss key issues, but also to connect with community stakeholders in order to identify the concrete actions they can take to support students and families.

  • Tuesday May 13 from 6:00p.m. – 8:30p.m.
  • Tuesday May 20 from 6:00p.m. – 8:30p.m.
  • Tuesday May 27 from 6:00p.m. – 8:30p.m.

**An additional 6.5 total hours of asynchronous group and independent work.
