Opportunity at a Glance: During this virtual module educators will receive hands on opportunities to learn about historical and current immigration events and policies while examining their impact on their school community. This course will break down the complexities of immigration and give participants the opportunity to reflect on existing practices and identify ways to strengthen supports for immigrant students and families. In addition, participants will explore ways to create a safe and welcoming environment, and to support immigrant students academically, linguistically and socio-emotionally.
