Open to: High School Science Teachers, any discipline
Opportunity at a Glance: During the STEMteachersNYC’s Whiteboarding Strategies for Science Classrooms workshop, participants will explore discipline-specific strategies and experience whiteboarding in action. These inexpensive tools can fundamentally transform the classroom permanently. When students model phenomena, design explanations, debate ideas respectfully, and work toward consensus, they are not just completing tasks, they are engaging in the authentic work of scientists, building understanding, and deepening their peer collaborations. Whiteboarding provides a simple, structured framework that brings these practices to life every day.
