Open to: Teachers Interested in Earning an Additional ESOL Certification
Opportunity at a Glance: Certified NYCPS teachers can earn an additional NYS certificate in ESOL Pre-K – 12 within one year and at a substantially reduced tuition rate through Mercy University’s CR-ITI program. Located at the Mercy University Bronx Campus, this clinically-rich program offers teachers a pathway to ESOL certification, with the goal of addressing the shortage of NYC teachers in ESOL.
Current NYCPS teachers with initial or professional certification who are interested in earning an additional ESOL certification are encouraged to apply. Applicants should also be committed to teaching ESOL for two years after earning their new certification.
