Incorporate Zines into Your STEM Classroom for Assessment, as a Creative Outlet, and for Concept Building Projects

Open to: All Teachers
Opportunity at a Glance: Join STEMteachersNYC for Zines as Creative Tools in Your Classroom. During this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to use zines—simple DIY booklets made from a single sheet of paper—as a low-cost, creative tool for review, formative assessment, and concept building in STEM.  Participants will design your own zines, explore classroom examples, and try different formats.  Participants will leave with project ideas, a sample rubric, and strategies for using zines to support student voice and understanding.
