Teaching Inclusivity through the Arts

Open to: District 13 Teachers.

Opportunity at a Glance: Join us at BRIC for British theatre-maker and comedian Jess Thom’s performance of Samuel Beckett’s Not I, which integrates ASL interpretation and a Relaxed Performance model as a standard for deeply inclusive theater experiences. Using the performance as a touchstone, we will explore what happens when people with disabilities are at the center of creative work on our stages and in our classrooms. The evening includes a pre-show discussion, complimentary ticket to the performance, and light refreshments. Space is very limited, and preference is given to K-12 educators working in Brooklyn.
