Opportunity at a Glance: Work-based learning experiences provide students with access to opportunities that support the development of ‘real-world’ transferable skills that will prepare them for both in-school and community vocational and/or employment experiences. During this session, participants will learn about the work-based learning options available through the Special Education Office and identify key components and requirements of quality work-based programs and experiences. Participants will also explore strategies for supporting students in disclosing their disability and advocating for reasonable workplace accommodations. This opportunity is eligible for CTLE credits
