Opportunity at a Glance: Receive training to serve as an ambassador for your school for new Bronx teachers. As a Bronx Early Hiring Teacher Recruiter (BEHTR), you will work closely with your school principal and the NYC DOE’s Office of Teacher Recruitment and Quality to determine school hiring needs and recruit, cultivate, and support new teacher hires in the Bronx. Showcase your school through school tours, social media, and by attending virtual and in-person recruitment events. Accepted applicants should expect to commit to 20-25 hours of per session per month and participate in orientation and training sessions.
Key Dates: Accepted teachers should commit to serving as a Bronx Early Hiring Teacher Recruiter from March 1 – June 30 (with possible additional work in the summer of 2020).
