Open to: Living Environment Science Teachers/Middle School Science Teachers
Opportunity at a Glance: This is a virtual professional learning opportunity for science teachers. Teachers will have the opportunity to explore various organisms from the New York Harbor and solving puzzles involving these critters. Activities can be used with students in virtual or blended settings.
Participants will also be introduced to Billion Oyster Project’s Living Breakwaters curriculum, a unit that consists of multiple lessons in which participants can explore these themes in greater depth with their students.
Material is aligned with the standards for NYC teachers of 8th grade science and science teachers of Living Environment.
