Opportunity at a Glance: The current pandemic illustrates the continuous evolution of viruses and the importance of understanding how they emerge in new host species, such as, humans. In the first session, explore virus evolution with Yale University Professor Paul Turner, and the benefits of developing non-harmful viruses for use in disease therapy. During the second session, exchange ideas with other brilliant teachers. Participants are assigned homework assignments to prepare for each session. CTLE-credit is available. This program is free for public school teachers and charter school teachers. Participants selection is by application and nomination.
