Open to: All Full-Time Pre K-12 Classroom Teachers
Opportunity at a Glance: How do you get kids to understand they can make a difference? How do you get them involved? How do you give them the skills they will need to make things better? Three Academy Fellows will share the following:
- Projects on a school-wide approach to current events;
- Rhetorical analysis as a way to make students eager;
- Thoughtful speakers; and
- The value of a deep dive into the history of mass incarceration.
Following the presentations, participants will meet in small groups for a more intimate discussion with other great teachers.
