Learn How to Structure Tasks to Support Multilingual Learners Access Content and Language

Open to: Middle School and High School Teachers
Opportunity at a Glance: During this three-part series participants will learn the following:

1) Key levers that support your Students with Interrupted Formal Education (SIFE);

2) Newcomer multilingual learners/English Language Learners (MLs/ELLs) in literal and analytical comprehension of grade-level text; 

3) Work collaboratively to apply instructional moves to strengthen comprehension; and

4) Practice how to approach writing through interactive tasks to support students to express their ideas with accuracy and clarity.

Throughout the series you will be invited to try the new learning in your classrooms and bring back your experiences to your learning community.
Key dates:  Tuesday April 20th, April 27th and May 11th from 3:00p.m. – 4:30p.m.
