Opportunity at a Glance: The Learning Network mentor texts aim to demystify the writing process through examples that students can learn from and emulate. We have mentor texts written by students to accompany nearly all of our contests. We also have examples from journalists from the NY Times, who take us behind the scenes on topics, such as, opinion writing and sports journalism.
In this interactive webinar, The Learning Network editors and teachers will discuss and demonstrate how these mentor texts can be used to inspire powerful student writing.
