Opportunity at a Glance: Press Pass NYC’s Journalism Adviser Fellowship is designed especially for educators who want to advise a student news publication but are new to journalism teaching and advising. Through a holistic cohort model, fellows learn how to start and sustain student-led, mission-driven, community-centered journalism programs at their schools.
The Fellowship includes:
- One-week virtual summer adviser bootcamp
- Virtual monthly cohort meetings throughout the school year
- Three in-person professional development days
- In-class coaches and volunteers
- One-on-one mentors
- $1000 stipend plus program grants
- Up to 30 CTLE credit hours
