Opportunity at a Glance: Each year, the NYC School Survey asks families, teachers, staff, and students (grades 6–12) to share their perspectives on their school community. The survey helps school leaders understand experiences and improve schools.
Based on feedback that the student survey is too long and not accessible, we worked with students, staff, and experts to shorten and revise it. Now, we are expanding this work.
This spring, we are recruiting 10–12 teachers and support staff to join our revision team to review and revise questions, complete trainings on survey design and best practices and provide structured feedback to improve clarity, relevance, and usability.
Key dates: May 4–8, May 11–15, and May 18–22 from 5:00p.m – 7:30p.m.
