Learning about the Nature of Science from the American Museum of Natural History’s Largest Dinosaurs

Open to: Grades K–5 Teachers
Opportunity at a Glance: During this two-day session, participants will be introduced to a variety of paleontology resources to help them create a remote museum learning experience that supports the NGSS Nature of Science standards. In addition to, growing their background knowledge, participants will test out online activities that draw on their students’ enthusiasm for dinosaurs, featuring two Museum dinosaur stars: Patagotitan mayorum and Tyrannosaurus rex.

Time will also be taken for planning and sharing with colleagues, in order to tailor the resources to the needs of students.

This course is free and offers CTLE credits upon completion.
