Open to: Secondary Level: All Teachers and Administrators of Long-term English Language Learners (ELLs)
Opportunity at a Glance: This 4 session professional learning series, is specifically designed for Long-term English Language Learners (ELLs) in middle schools, secondary schools and high schools. During these sessions participants will look at ways that will allow for use of formative assessments to amplify instruction. In addition, during this professional learning series will learn how to empower multilingual students to become partners and owners of their own learning and success.
Note: Registration is open to all, but participants are encouraged to register with a co-teacher or colleague at their school.
Key dates:
- Session 1: Tuesday March 1st from 3:00p.m. – 4:45p.m.;
- Session 2: Tuesday March 15th from 3:30p.m. – 4:45p.m.;
- Session 3: Tuesday March 29th from 3:30p.m. – 4:45p.m.; and
- Session 4: Tuesday April 12th from 3:30p.m. – 4:45p.m.
