Oral History for Educators: Amplifying Unheard Voices in the Classroom

Opportunity at a Glance: Join New York Public Library’s (NYPL’s) Center for Educators & Schools and Voice of Witness in an interactive workshop introducing strategies for using oral history in the classroom. Each workshop will provide participants with tools for placing student, family, and community stories at the heart of their curriculum. This is the second event in a two-part series. If you missed the first event you are still encouraged to participate. 

Voice of Witness seeks to amplify unheard voices through narrative art, and promote active listening and empathy to nurture inclusive spaces for student storytelling.

Attendees will be awarded 2 CTLE credits for this session.
