Opportunity at a Glance: Join The New York Public Library’s Center for Educators and Schools in conversation with Carla Shalaby, a teacher and researcher, shifting the paradigm of how we view the “troublemakers” in our classrooms and teaching us what they can reveal about our school communities. During this conversation participants will explore how to transform student behaviors from a compliance-based practice, as well as how to reconcile conflicting ideologies in a school context.
Thirty attendees will have the opportunity to receive a free copy of Shalaby’s book Troublemakers: Lessons in Freedom from Young Children at School.
Attendees will be awarded 1 hour of CTLE credit.
