Opportunity at a Glance: Join us for the 22nd Annual Fanya Gottesfeld Heller Conference for Educators, featuring a lecture by Ms. Alexandra Zapruder.  Ms. Zapruder will introduce “Dispatches from Quarantine: Young People on COVID-19,” a project to capture the real-time accounts of young people’s experiences of the pandemic in writing, art, photography, and music.  An outgrowth of her decades of work on young writers’ Holocaust diaries and real-time accounts written in recent wars and genocides, Ms. Zapruder has grown increasingly interested in the ways that young people in the present day can make significant contributions to the historical and literary record.
