Explore Foods Around Us: Chancellor’s Day 2022 at Queens Botanical Garden

Open to: Elementary and Middle School Teachers
Opportunity at a Glance: Thinking about food?  Where does it come from and what do you eat?  During this professional development workshop participants will do the following:

  • Think about your cultural capital around plants and food sources as we explore the Queens Botanical Garden (QBG) and its environment and;
  • Utilize various foods to learn science concepts, build community, and more.

**All participants will be given time to reflect upon pedagogy and make plans for their classrooms.

**Participants will receive 6 hours of CTLE credit for this PL.

**The cost for this workshop is $40 per teacher.
