Opportunity at a Glance: Join The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Sea Grant, and SUNY Maritime for an in-person half-day professional learning opportunity, along the Long Island Sound waterfront, on Thursday, June 9 from 9:30a.m. – 2:30p.m. (Chancellor’s Day). This program is open to all and most appropriate for 4-12 grade teachers interested in exploring resources and program opportunities related to NYC harbor water quality and ecology, stormwater management, and stewardship. Educators will also participate in hands-on activities along the waterfront with SUNY Maritime staff.
