Opportunity at a Glance: Join NYC Department of Environmental Protection, NY Sea Grant, and SUNY Maritime for a half-day in-person professional learning opportunity along the Long Island Sound waterfront.
This professional learning opportunity is designed for middle school and high school teachers interested in exploring resources and program opportunities related to New York City harbor water quality, including stormwater management, green infrastructure, estuary ecology, ecological restoration, bio‑extraction and nutrient removal, and environmental stewardship. Educators will also participate in hands-on activities aboard SUNY Maritime’s Research Vessel.
Key dates: Friday April 10 from 9:30a.m. – 2:30p.m. (during Spring Break)
