Playful Classrooms: Integrating Play, Movement, and Joy into Learning

Opportunity at a Glance: Join The New York Public Library’s Center for Educators and Schools during this workshop about the importance of unstructured play for all students—from toddlers to teens. During this workshop educators will do the following:

  • Learn about the social, emotional, and academic benefits of play; and
  • Have opportunities to model hands-on activities.

In addition, this event is free and open to all educators across grade levels, subjects, and school settings. Middle school and high school teachers are strongly encouraged to attend.

**Light refreshments will be served and attendees will have the opportunity to win prizes to help them kickstart a more playful classroom.
