Brooklyn Resists: How Black Brooklynites Resisted Racism and Persisted!

Open to: All Teachers
Opportunity at a Glance: Our new curriculum, Brooklyn Resists. How Black Brooklynites Resisted Racism and Persisted! explores the racist views Blacks endure, and how they chose to overcome them and fight for a better life.
Join Dr. Prithi Kanakamedala, curator and historian on the In Pursuit of Freedom project, as she discusses how Black Brooklynites resisted racism and persisted over time. Then join, Dr. Aja Lans as she discusses how black bodies were segregated, not only as they lived, but when they died.
