Opportunity at a Glance: We are excited to announce a Summer Institute dedicated to grades K-5 climate education. The DOE Office of Sustainability is partnering with The Center for Sustainable Futures at Teachers College, Columbia University.
During this course participants will develop innovative teaching materials about climate change in NYC, engage your students with climate change across different subjects, and join a community of teachers from different schools and neighborhoods.
Participants will receive a $1,000 stipend and up to 28 CTLE credits.
(Future years will be for middle and high school teachers.)
Key dates: Monday July 17 – Thursday July 20 from 9:00a.m. – 4:00p.m.
