Opportunity at a Glance: Wind energy is shaping up to be a major part of the clean energy revolution meant to address the challenge of climate change. How will wind energy technologies and industries affect the human and animal communities they enter? During this in-person CTLE workshop designed for middle and high school teachers, participants will explore the development of the New York seascape for offshore wind energy and the efforts to ensure this new project benefits everyone. Aquarium exhibit explorations, engaging hands on activities, and an introduction to resources to use in the classroom will all be a part of this exciting program.
