Chancellor’s Day: Black Power to Black People

Opportunity at a Glance: Join Poster House for its first June Chancellor’s Day.  Engage in a guided tour and Q&A session with Es-pranza Humphrey, curator of the exhibition Black Power to Black People: Branding the Black Panther Party.  Participate in a hands-on art-making workshop inspired by the work of Black Panther Minister of Culture, Emory Douglas, and learn more about protest posters from Black-led civil rights movements before and after the hey-day of the Black Panther Party.  Educators will leave with new ideas and strategies for integrating posters into their curricula, along with classroom-ready materials from our Posters in Protest Educator Guide.
