Celebrate Pride with a Free “Queering New York” Video Series Focused on Sites Connected to LGBTQ History

Opportunity at a Glance: The NYC LGBT Historic Sites Project has produced a “Queering New York” video series, which focuses on sites connected to an LGBTQ person, group, or event.  Each free video is under seven minutes long. Topics include:

• Bayard Rustin Educational Complex
• Desi Dhamaka Protests
• Eve’s Hangout
• Keith Haring Studio
• Langston Hughes Residence
• Pauli Murray Residence
• Queens Pride Parade
• Richmond Barthé & “Green Pastures: The Walls of Jericho”
• Riis Park Beach
• The Triangle Fire

Students can connect with LGBTQ historic sites in New York City on topics related to classroom studies including humanities and social studies.
