Opportunity at a Glance: Join Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and the Eastern Queens Alliance for a free professional learning opportunity in Idlewild Park Preserve on Tuesday October 17 from 4:00p.m. – 6:00p.m. Educators will
- explore the recently opened Idlewild Environmental Center,
- learn about the history of Idlewild Park, local ecology, NYC’s sewer system and stormwater management initiatives; as well as
- an exciting mussel restoration project in Jamaica Bay.
With our updated Jamaica Bay Education Resource Directory, you will be able to explore resources and program opportunities in and around the Jamaica Bay watershed, one of the City’s most unique and ecologically rich natural areas.
