Open to: Grades K-12 Educators
Opportunity at a Glance: Leaders for Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education (CRSE) will address the principles of culturally responsive and sustaining education through the lens of the NYSED framework, providing clarity on what the principles mean, why they are important, and how they look in practice.
Throughout the course, we will do the following:
- Consider how the CRSE framework can be used to strengthen instruction, and codify implementation plans;
- Explore connections to other frameworks, including Danielson and CASEL, opening up the possibilities for a holistic understanding of how these structures overlap and support one another and how thoughtful implementation can lead to positive outcomes for all students.
