Opportunity at a Glance: Examine the history of Native people in modern America since the turn of the twentieth century. This seminar will take a social and cultural historical approach, from Geronimo and the Ghost Dance to the Indian gaming industry and tribal sovereignty as part of this online Teacher Seminar hosted by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History and held in partnership with the National WWI Museum and Memorial.
This seminar will be ed by Professor Donald L. Fixico (Shawnee, Sac and Fox, Muscogee Creek and Seminole; Arizona State University) and master teacher Patience LeBlanc.
