Apply: Summer Institute 2024, “New York City and Global Migration: Urban Transportation, Housing, and Labor”

Open to: Grades K – 16 Teachers, Administrators, Graduate Students, and other Stakeholders working in education.
Opportunity at a Glance: “New York City and Global Migration: Urban Transportation, Housing, and Labor” is the title of the NYU’s Kevorkian Center Summer Institute 2024.  During this intensive 5-day program participants will learn from and participate in the following: 

  • A combination of expert presentations;
  • Hands-on workshops;
  • Field trips around NYC focusing on migrant communities from the Middle East, Latin America/Caribbean, and Asia; and
  • Developing classroom activities integrating these global topics.

Educators can earn up to 43 CTLE hours and a $500 stipend upon completion. 
Key dates:  Monday July 22 – Friday July 26 from 9:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.
