Open to: All Teachers
Opportunity at a Glance: Join the Museum at Eldridge Street, Museum of Chinese in America, and Henry Street Settlement for a special educator evening to learn about our grades K-12 tours, programs, and educational offerings. Each of our institutions explores a different facet of this history. We preserve stories, educate the public about immigration and migrant experiences past and present, and explore how these communities helped shape our national history.
Since New York City’s earliest days, the Lower East Side has been a focal point for immigration. As each new wave of immigrants reached our shores, it was on the Lower East Side where they would start their lives anew.
