Opportunity at a Glance: Join the NYCDOE Social Studies Department for the Teaching Hard History: Civil Discourse on Current Events professional learning workshop. During the workshop participants will do the following:
- Explore strategies and effective instructional approaches for teaching difficult topics in history with a focus on making connections to current events; and
- Explore effective instructional approaches to teaching difficult topics and how to build civil discourse.
