Opportunity at a Glance: You are invited to join the Center for Brooklyn History’s Educators (CBH) for a professional development on teaching civics through the history of social and political engagement in Brooklyn.
This Professional Development session will engage local civic history through CBH’s new People Making Power exhibition, feature a presentation on the exhibition’s creation by CBH Chief Historian Dominique Jean-Louis, and conclude with CBH Educators sharing strategies for crafting open-ended questions and instilling debate and argument skills through primary source research.
A light breakfast and a full lunch will be provided.
Participating educators will receive 6 CTLE credits.
