Opportunity at a Glance: This Black History Month collection on WeTeachNYC highlights lessons, primary sources, articles, and videos to use with your students as they learn about the people, events, and legislation that defined life for African Americans in the U.S. at different times including the Civil War to the Civil Rights Movement to the present. In addition to the materials you can use with your students, the collection includes strategies for teachers to help students get the most out of Black History Month. These resources can be integrated into your curricula and taught throughout the year.
