Learn this summer at the Meeting Hate With Humanity Summer Seminar

Open to: Applications are open to teachers of grades 5 and up who teach social studies or ELA

Opportunity at a Glance: This year, our Meeting Hate with Humanity: Life During the Holocaust introductory level course for teachers will take place virtually. Join us from June 29 – July 2 for lectures from scholars, testimony from Holocaust survivors, and workshops to transfer your learning to a classroom setting, whether in person or virtual.

Online sessions will meet from 10 AM – 12:30 PM, with some exceptions to be announced. Attendance at all four sessions is mandatory. New York State teachers may earn CTLE credit for attending.

If you are not a 5th – 12th grade teacher of ELA or social studies, please email education@mjhnyc.org to determine eligibility.

Key dates:  Monday, June 29, 9 AM – 12:30 PM; Tuesday, June 30, 10 AM – 12:30 PM; Wednesday, July 1, 10 AM – 12:30 PM; Thursday, July 2, 10 AM – 12:30 PM

Location: This program will be conducted over Zoom; a link will be sent to all participants.
