Opportunity at a Glance: Participate in a course useful for those starting or reviving a garden program at their school. Participants will be challenged to use problem solving and critical thinking to address issues associated with garden design and financial and community support while integrating local resources into their teaching practice. In addition, pedagogical support will be modeled throughout the course and curriculum review. Content will be focused on how to translate this learning into practical applications within individual school settings.
Throughout this course the following will be infused:
- A focus on food justice;
- Food insecurity; and
- Connections between food and identity.
