Explore Resources and Strategies for Teaching About COVID-19 in Your Secondary Science Classroom

Open to: 6th -12th Grade Science Teachers
Opportunity at a Glance: This series will provide an overview of resources for teaching and learning about COVID-19 in secondary science classrooms.  Participants will do the following during this learning series:

  • Explore resources such as websites, simulations and activities that cover topics related to COVID-19;
  • Explore examples of how COVID-19 topics have been incorporated into the Living Environment TeachHub lessons;
  • Examine strategies for using trauma-informed approaches to determine if and how to teach about COVID-19 and related topics; and
  • Finally, participants will explore ways to address questions and concerns about COVID-19, vaccines, and other topics that may come up in your science classroom.

Key dates:  Tuesday-Wednesday July 13th -14th from 3:00p.m.-4:30p.m. or Tuesday-Wednesday July 27th-28th 9:00a.m. – 10:30a.m.
