Open to: School Librarians and Teachers of LGBTQIA+ Youth
Opportunity at a Glance: We invite K-12 educators in New York City public schools to apply to the LGBTQ Writers in Schools Program. The program brings LGBTQ authors and their books into classrooms, book clubs, and libraries virtually. The experience creates critically necessary, safe spaces for students to talk about great books and how to thrive as an LGBTQ person.
Schools accepted to the program will receive professional development, a real-time virtual visit from an author, and access to an ebook collection of LGBTQ+ books.
There is no cost for participating schools.
