Opportunity at a Glance: Until 1973, every gay person was classified by the American Psychological Association as mentally ill and in need of a cure. The award-winning PBS documentary CURED tells the story of the activists who challenged that diagnosis — and won. Join us in welcoming Patrick Sammon and Bennett Singer, creators of this award-winning documentary. They will screen the PBS film, share more about this important aspect of US history, and participate in a Q&A session with participants.
